Thanks for looking into the matter! Close enough–pin 1 on the 28C is A14, while on the 27C it’s Vpp.
According to the schematic dagasheet I have, pin 1 is connected to pin 27 check this with an ohmmeter and labeled A Naw, that would be hokey. I hope to inspire some to grad school. I like the Nexys2, personally, and the books by Haskell and Hanna look pretty good for bringing newbies up to speed. I see from an earlier post that you are using a ‘dual’ drive. Have you tried a standard 1. I think that the Phoenix 2. I haven’t determined if they are connected to anything else.

If so, I’ve wasted a lot of time putting 27cs under the UV light for erasure. The code for this is above my abillities right now, but maybe in a year or two or less if I can find the time to get really serious about learning Assembly.
If yes, have you tried the known 1. I also don’t care about speed. Are the 28cs pin compatable with the 27cs?
